【Detailed Analysis】Identifying Improvement Points from Radar Charts

We will guide you on efficient data sharing methods using radar charts.

We will introduce an example of using the 'Radar Chart' in detailed analysis.

You can check the status and sales composition of the store at a glance.

Store staff can also easily judge the store situation,

making it effective for use in morning meetings and as persuasive material for measures.

◯ Explore improvement points from the KPI increase/decrease rate compared to the comparison period

Figure A

Confirmation details

When the comparison period is set to 100%, check which KPIs other than sales are performing well during the selected period, as shown in Figure A①.

Set the KPIs that are performing poorly, related to the well-performing KPIs, as improvement KPIs.

- In the case of Figure A, the number of people passing in front of the store is high, but the visit rate is low, so it is set as an improvement KPI.

Once the improvement KPIs are identified, establish actions related to the target KPIs in the store and set target values.

It will be easier to understand if you set the number of actions and the daily target KPI values.

◯ Setting Reference KPI Values from Sales Comparison Rate

Figure B

If the values are lower than the target or comparison period, check how many percent were lacking and calculate the target value by multiplying the percentage with the related KPI.

Procedure

① Determine whether to increase sales by ~% compared to the comparison period and simply apply it to other KPIs.

ーIn the case of Figure B, approximately 20% increase in sales compared to the comparison period is required.

② Apply the growth rate to the improvement KPIs set by the radar chart and calculate the reference value.

ー From a visit rate of 2.60%20% increase, a visit rate of 3.12% is calculated as the reference value.

③ If the reference value is actually obtained, check the final sales forecast. If it is higher than the target sales, adjust the increase/decrease rate of the KPI values.

By clarifying goals and actions, measures will be more effective and reproducibility will increase.
