This is the work of laying LAN cabling, installing devices, checking operation, and performing initial setup to match your store's environment.
The technician who visits is an employee of our partner company.
Please contact your facility management in advance and submit an outside-worker application.
The list of technicians assigned to the work is finalized roughly 2 weeks before the work date, and we will notify you.
Deadlines vary by facility, but we recommend submitting the application about 1 week before the installation.
Costs are charged depending on your store's environment.
Since this is arranged by your head office, there is no payment on the day of the work.
It depends on the size of the store, but it generally takes about 3 to 5 hours.
For existing stores, we mainly visit outside business hours, at night.
For stores about to newly open, we may visit during the facility's business hours.
(Please confirm in advance with facility management that bringing in a stepladder is permitted.)
Work takes place around the store entrance, inside the register counter, and in the back yard.
Generally not, but we may ask you to move items if necessary.
Depending on the situation, our technician may also temporarily move product shelves on the day of the work.
Upon entry, we will need about 10 minutes of the store manager's or assistant manager's time to confirm procedures such as locking up, but your presence is not required during or until the completion of the installation work.
(*If facility-designated security guard attendance is required, please include this in your work application.
*For street-facing stores requiring a key to lock, attendance is generally requested.)
The technician arrives at the store and greets the store representative.
The following items are decided together with you, based on your store's environment. (If a site survey has already been done, some steps may be skipped.)
Measurements and photos are taken as needed.
How the LAN cabling will be run
How long the LAN cabling will be
Checking the ceiling environment and marking sensor installation positions
Checking for available power outlets
Checking the router installation location
Checking for open router ports
Protecting products in the work area.
A protective sheet is placed over products near the work area so they don't get covered in dust.
LAN cabling work is performed.
Cabling is run through the ceiling, walls, under the register, etc. depending on your environment.
Devices are installed in the store.
Devices are mounted on the ceiling near the entrance, etc., and connected to the LAN cabling.
PoE equipment is placed near the router or in the back yard (varies by store environment).
Device power and LAN cabling are connected, and device operation is checked.
We confirm there are no initial defects and that data can be transmitted.
Initial setup and first accuracy check
Our remote support staff perform initial setup based on your store's environment.
The technician walks under the device to confirm that measurement is working correctly.
Removing product protection, cleaning up, and wrapping up
Once complete, the protective sheets around the work area are removed and the area is cleaned.
A work completion report is created, photos showing completion are taken, and the technician reports completion to us.
After reviewing the details, we report back to your company's representative.
