This explains the meaning and structure of Bounce Rate, a metric for evaluating customers who left quickly after visiting.
Bounce Rate is a metric showing "the percentage (%) of visitors who left the store within a set amount of time."
Bounce Rate is made up of two KPIs:
The number of customers who visited the store (= Traffic)
The number of customers who left the store within a set amount of time (= Bounced Visitors)
Since Bounce Rate represents "the percentage of visitors who left the store within a set amount of time," it's expressed as a ratio.
Formula: Bounce Rate (%) = Bounced Visitors ÷ Traffic × 100
To calculate Bounce Rate, you need to decide in advance how much time defines a customer as having "left quickly."
Our default setting is within 1 minute, but since this varies by store size, please feel free to let us know if you'd like it changed.
Bounce Rate is a metric that shows whether a store has many customers leaving quickly for some reason.
Measure data across multiple stores and use it to reduce bounced visitors and create more purchase opportunities.
